Composition with comet (1967)
A watercolour by William Black from the St Ives school titled “Composition with comet” and dated 1967, it measures 18 x 13 ½ cms. This abstract composition is heavily influenced by Peter Lanyon who is believed to have tutored William for some time, this small painting confirms William’s ability to create abstract works along with the best in the St Ives school.
